Fequently asked questions
- How long have you been coaching?
I started coaching Overwatch in late 2018, mostly to help out some friends and acquaintances who wanted some help improving. I quickly realized, while working with them, that I absolutely ADORED coaching others. In Fall 2020 I capitalized on my passion for teaching esports, and I began working with Connected Camps. With CC I coached many highschool Overwatch teams across North America-- Teams that I still work with to this day!
- Why are you qualified to coach esports?
My experience in esports first and foremost comes from player experience. I have been playing on Overwatch teams since late 2017, and still participate in organized team play even now. In 2020 I played in Blizzard's semi-pro league, winning several tournaments (Open Division and Trial of Champions). I also scrimmaged against Contenders and Overwatch League teams almost daily. My passion and expertise as a player transfers heavily to who I am and what I know as a coach.
Currently, I am more focused on coaching rather than playing, but I still maintain a top150 rating in NA for support players in Overwatch competitive.
